UN Security Council resolution 1715
The Resolution 1715 of the UN Security Council is a resolution that the United Nations Security Council adopted on 9 October 2006 at its 5547th meeting without a vote. With the resolution, which was adopted in a closed session, the Security Council made its recommendation to the General Assembly to appoint Ban Ki-moon as Secretary General of the United Nations for the period from January 1, 2007 to December 31, 2011.
