Great importance for endangered animal species. There are numerous structures to reclaim a floodplain landscape (dam and ditch systems, sluices). Extensive remnants of a floodplain relief: meander arches, former courses of the Rhine with low moor formation, embankments, chutes, oxbow lakes, gravel ridges of different ages of the Rhine systems.
