geography
The village lies at an altitude of 485 m above sea level. M. on the north slope of Monte Ceneri and on the old mule track from Bellinzona over Monte Ceneri to Lugano ; two kilometers south of the Cadenazzo station on the Bellinzona- Luino line of the Swiss Federal Railways .
history
The origin of the village goes back to an old pasture, on which a church or chapel of San Leonardo stood, which is already mentioned in 1205; at that time it belonged to the four parishes of Medeglia , Bironico , Rivera and Camignolo . After Medeglia and Isone came under the jurisdiction of Bellinzona, a dispute broke out with Lugano. In 1698 Robasacco belonged to the municipality of Medeglia. In 1808 by the Ticino Grand Council Robasacco retained his patriziato .
