Robert Rosser (born April 11, 1969 in Plattsburgh ) is a former American biathlete .

Robert Rosser lives in Underhill . The member of the US National Guard from Oregon belongs to the US Air Force reserves and competes in Bend Biathlon . In 1988 she started biathlon. He has been competing in the World Cup since 1993 . Rosser contested his first race at an individual in Lillehammer , where he was 103rd. In the following sprint he improved himself to rank 99 for the first time under the top 100. In his first season he achieved his best result in the World Cup with rank 34 in a sprint in Hinton . The first international championship was the 1996 Biathlon World Championships in Ruhpolding , in which the American was 78th in the individual. In the relay race he finished 21st with Curt Schreiner , Dan Westover and Chad Salmela . After taking part in the World Cup at the beginning of the 1996/97 season , he was not used here for the whole of 1997 and only returned to the World Cup team in 1998 . The highlight of the season and career was Rosser's participation in the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano . At the competitions in Nozawa Onsen , the American reached 69th place in the individual and was with Jay Hakkinen , Westover and Andrew Erickson as the final runner of the season 17. 2000 he started at the World Championships, which for weather reasons at Holmenkollen in Oslo and Lahti took place. He finished 71st of the Individual, 76th in the Pursuit, and with Hakkinen, Jeremy Teela and Schreiner, Season 16. A year later , Rosser took part in the World Championships for the last time in Pokljuka and finished 58 in the individual and 90 in the sprint. At the 2001 Military World Ski Championships in Jericho , Rosser started both in the biathlete and was 46th in the sprint and cross-country skiing , where he was 52nd in the 10-kilometer freestyle in Kranjska Gora . After the 2000/2001 season , he did not get any further appearances in the first division of biathlon. Until the mid-2000s he took part in races of the European Cup. Here he was able to reach the points region several times. The last international championship was the 2006 European Biathlon Championships in Langdorf , where Rosser was 69th in the individual, 73rd in the sprint and 16th with Brian Olsen , Kevin Patzoldt and Mark Johnson as the final runner with the relay.
