Robinson Crusoe is a Belgian - French computer animated film of directors Vincent Kesteloot and Ben Stassen from the year 2016 which is loosely based on the novel Robinson Crusoe of the writer Daniel Defoe based.
action
Robinson Crusoe travels as a passenger on a sailing ship . When it got into distress, the crew left it in a lifeboat , while the unconscious Robinson stayed on the ship, which was stranded on an island. The animals living there initially mistake it for a sea monster and are afraid of it. After Robinson rescues the parrot Mak - whom he calls "Tuesday" - from the two ship cats Ping and Pong, who have also come to the island as a result of the shipwreck, the animals slowly put their fear off, make friends with Robinson and help him to build a tree house .
Meanwhile, Ping has offspring, and when they are fully grown, the pack of cats attacks Robinson's tree house. Together with the animals, Robinson tries to repel the attack. The tree house explodes and goes up in flames. While the cats are drifting out to sea on a raft , Robinson is discovered by passing pirates and brought aboard their ship together with Tuesday. There he tells the team his story, which is not believed, while Tuesday tells two rats the story from his point of view.
When Robinson realizes that the pirates will not bring him back to England, he tries to escape from the ship by attempting to launch a lifeboat. However, he is caught and chased across the ship by the pirates. At the last moment he jumps overboard and lands on the raft that the cats that climbed aboard the pirate ship have just left. Tuesday saves the rats from the cats and returns to the island with Robinson.

"The animated film, staged with a light hand, is told in a child-friendly manner and entertains with pretty gags and amusing slapstick, whereby its vision of heavenly happiness asserts itself against any xenophobia ."
