Rok Tršan (born August 28, 1992 ) is a Slovenian biathlete and former cross-country skier .

Rok Tršan for TSK Logatec . First he started in cross-country skiing in the Alpine Cup , in junior and FIS races . The first international championships were the European Youth Olympic Winter Festival 2009 in Szczyrk , where a 16th place over 10-kilometer freestyle was the best result. The same rank in the pursuit was the first result a year later at the Junior World Championship in Hinterzarten . In 2011 , when he finished fourth in the pursuit in Otepää , he missed winning the bronze medal by just three seconds against the Finn Perttu Hyvarninen . A month later he was able to compete in the Nordic World Ski Championships in Oslo in 2011 . In the Norwegian capital, Tršan finished 17th in the team sprint and did not finish his pursuit. In 2012 he again took part in the Junior World Championships in Erzurum , but did not achieve a place in the top 30. In November 2012 , the Slovenian made his debut in a 15-kilometer freestyle race in the Cross-Country World Cup in Gällivare and finished 85th at the Nordic World Ski Championships 2013 in Val di Fiemme , he finished 24th in the team sprint with Boštjan Klavžar , and missed the finals of the best 30th in the sprint qualification as 63rd. In the 2013/14 season Tršan was more involved in the World Cup, a 42nd place in his last race, a 15th -Mileage mass start race in classic style, his best result was in Szklarska Poręba .

After a dispute with his association, Tršan switched to biathlon during the advanced preparatory phase for the 2014/15 season . Without much preparation time, he rose to the national team and learned to shoot in a very short time. At the start of the season he made his debut in the IBU Cup , where he was 55th and 62nd in sprint races in Beitostølen . The first sprint race in the biathlon world cup followed in Hochfilzen , which he finished in 76th. It is also his best individual result in the World Cup so far. In Oberhof he came to his first relay mission, but missed with Klemen Bauer , Janez Marič and Lenart Oblak in difficult conditions, which the inexperienced Tršan of all members of his relay was able to master best and only needed three spares, while all the other three starters had to run a penalty loop when finishing eleventh just under the top ten. He achieved this a week later with Bauer, Marič and Jakov Fak as seventh place in the relay race.
