Rolan Alexandrowitsch Gussew ( Russian Ролан Александрович Гусев ; born September 17, 1977 in Ashgabat , Turkmen SSR ) is a Russian football player . He usually plays in the attacking midfield or he occupies the right wing midfield position. He currently plays for Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk .

Career

Gusew was born in Ashgabat but moved to Moscow at the age of nine, where he was enrolled in the FK Dynamo Moscow youth school . In 1997, at the age of 20, he got his first professional contract with Dynamo Moscow. He played there until 2001 before he was signed by CSKA Moscow . He had his most successful time at CSKA. In 2002 he was top scorer in the Russian league straight away. He was two Russian champions , twice he won the Russian Cup and once the UEFA Cup . When he won the UEFA Cup in 2005 , he came on in the 90th minute for Evgenhi Aldonin . In 2004 he was for the European Championship in Portugal in the Russian team appointed. Russia failed in the preliminary round. In 2008 he moved to Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk in Ukraine .
