After early attempts in tempera (60s) and partly large-format oil chalks ( Jaxon ), he worked primarily with watercolors , gouaches (mixed techniques) and pastels from the mid-80s . He also used techniques such as woodcut , linocut, later line etching and drypoint in zinc and copper, aquatint , open surface etchings, color mono, mezzotint and vernis mou . In contrast to many artists, Meyn's entire etching was printed himself, since 1963 on his own press.
