The Rolls-Royce Phantom Coupé is a largely handcrafted luxury vehicle from the British automobile manufacturer Rolls-Royce . The coupe was launched in 2008 and is based on the Phantom . Production stopped in 2016.
History, design and technology
The vehicle was presented on March 6, 2008 at the Geneva Motor Show after the Phantom Drophead Coupé was presented to the public in 2007. In the production which is platform of the sedan used the design closely follows the concept car Rolls-Royce 100EX .
The doors are typically hinged at the back, as is the case with contemporary Rolls-Royce models. The V-engine with 338 kW (460 PS) maximum output has 12 cylinders, 6.75 liters displacement and delivers a maximum of 720 Nm torque. The automobile accelerates from 0-100 km / h in 5.8 seconds and reaches a top speed of 250 km / h. The Phantom Coupé consumes 20.5 l / 100 km in town and 9.6 l / 100 km outside of town, which corresponds to an average of 377 g of CO 2 emissions per kilometer.
Rolls-Royce offers highly individual solutions for the exterior color and interior design, and the headliner can show simulated stars when driving at night. The vehicle received extremely positive reviews on the BBC's Top Gear automobile show . The Phantom Coupé costs around 440,000 euros.
At the end of 2016, Rolls-Royce ceased production of the Phantom family. A successor to the sedan went on sale at the beginning of 2018, while the convertible and coupé have no successors.
