Roman Olehowytsch Yaremchuk ( Ukrainian Роман Олегович Яремчук , born November 27, 1995 in Lviv ) is a Ukrainian football player . Since 2017 he has been playing for KAA Gent in the Belgian first division .

Career

Yaremchuk began his career at Dynamo Kiev , where he made his debut for the second division team in July 2013. He has played in the first division team since 2015.

From July to the end of 2016 he was loaned to FK Oleksandrija . This club also plays in the Premjer-Liha , the top Ukrainian league. For the 2017/18 season, he moved to the Belgian first division KAA Gent , where he received a four-year contract. In October 2019, this contract was extended until summer 2023.

National team

Yaremchuk went through the youth national teams from U 16 to U 21. With the U 19 he took part in the U 19 European Championship in 2014 and played there in two of three group games. As third in the group, Ukraine eliminated there after the group games. In the following year he played with the U 20s at the U 20 World Cup in all four games. Here Ukraine was eliminated in the round of 16 against Senegal.

He had his first international match for the Ukrainian national team on September 6, 2018 as part of the UEFA Nation League against the Czech Republic.
