Romeo Filipović (born March 31, 1986 in Recklinghausen ) is a German - Croatian football player who is primarily used as a central midfielder .

Career

From 2003 to 2005 Filipović played in the U-19 Bundesliga for Rot-Weiss Essen and MSV Duisburg . In the summer of 2005 he moved to the upper division VfB Homberg , where he only made four appearances due to an injury. In summer 2006 he moved to the Romanian first division club and promoted FC Universitatea Craiova . However, it was not used there. After six months he moved to the Austrian third division club SV Spittal / Drau , where he scored two goals in eight games. In the summer of 2007 he moved to the Jordanian first division club Al-Ahli . After half a year he moved to the Bosnian first division club FK Željezničar Sarajevo , where he came to four missions. In the 2008/09 season he was again under contract with FC Universitatea Craiova. In October 2009, he then signed a contract with the Scottish second division club Ayr United , where he remained without use. In January 2010 he moved to the Indonesian first division club Bontang FC . A year later he signed a contract with the Croatian first division club NK Karlovac and was used five times. In the summer of 2011 he moved to the Bosnian first division club FK Sloboda Tuzla and made six appearances. At the end of February 2012, he agreed to terminate the contract with the financially troubled club. He then signed with the Swiss third division club FC Mendrisio-Stabio until the end of the 2011/12 season , where he shone as a template provider in eight games. At the beginning of August 2012 he moved to the Slovenian first division club FC Koper . After he had first established a regular seat, he injured his meniscus in November 2012 and had to undergo an operation. At the beginning of December 2012, his contract was terminated prematurely.

Filipović was without a club for half a year before joining the Croatian third division club NK Imotski in August 2013 . With the club he rose to the 2nd HNL at the end of the 2013/14 season. At the end of September 2014, the Polish second division team Olimpia Grudziądz signed him. There he was not used and left the club in early March 2015 to join Orange County Blues FC in the United Soccer League . After four appearances at the start of the season , he moved to league competitor Arizona United in the summer of 2015 .
