Roque Baños
Roque Baños López (born May 1, 1968 in Jumilla , Murcia , Spain ) is a Spanish composer .
Life
Roque Baños López's musical education began at the age of eleven. At the age of 18 he moved to Madrid . There he studied at the Real Conservatorio Superior de Música de Madrid and was able to study at the renowned Berklee College of Music with a grant from the Spanish Ministry of Culture . He concentrated primarily on jazz and film music .
Since his debut in 1997 as a film composer with the Spanish drama Carreteras secundarias , Baños has composed the music for internationally successful films such as Sexy Beast , The Machinist and Alatriste . For his work, he received ten nominations for the Spanish Goya film award. In 2003 , 2008 and 2009 he was able to win him for Salomé , Las 13 rosas and Oxford Murders .
