Roque Paloschi

Roque Paloschi (born November 5, 1956 in Progresso , Rio Grande do Sul , Brazil ) is a Roman Catholic clergyman and Archbishop of Porto Velho .

Life

The Bishop of Bagé , Laurindo Guizzardi CS , ordained him a priest on December 7, 1986 .

Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on May 18, 2005 Bishop of Roraima . The bishop of Pelotas , Jayme Henrique Chemello , donated him episcopal ordination on July 17th of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Luiz Soares Vieira , Archbishop of Manaus , and Laurindo Guizzardi CS, Bishop of Foz do Iguaçu .

On October 14, 2015, Pope Francis appointed him Archbishop of Porto Velho . The inauguration took place on December 13 of the same year.

Paloschi is President of the Brazilian Indian Mission Council CIMI (Conselho Indigenista Missionário).
