Rory Rawlyk (born September 9, 1983 in Edmonton , Alberta ) is a Canadian ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Dundee Stars in the Elite Ice Hockey League since 2013 .
Career
Rory Rawlyk was invited to a training camp for the New York Rangers in 2001 , after which he played one season for the Vancouver Giants and one for the Red Deer Rebels in the Western Hockey League . In the 2003/04 season Rawlyk got his first professional contract and played in the East Coast Hockey League for the Charlotte Checkers and the Hartford Wolf Pack in the American Hockey League , where he stayed until 2006.
After 14 games for the Bofors IK in the HockeyAllsvenskan early in the 2006/07 season, the defender returned to America and subsequently went on the ice for the Cincinnati Cyclones and Binghamton Senators . He was then obliged by the Eisbären Regensburg , with whom he played in the 2nd Bundesliga ice hockey during the 2007/08 season . In the middle of the season Rawlyk returned to North America again and ended the season with the South Carolina Stingrays . In the 2008/09 season he played a few games for the Phoenix RoadRunners before he returned to Germany in the middle of the season and was under contract with Herner EV in the Oberliga West until 2010 . In the 2010/11 season he went on the ice for the Lausitzer Füchse in the 2nd ice hockey Bundesliga.
In 2012/13 he played for the ASC Corona Brasov in the Romanian ice hockey league and the international MOL league . Since 2017 he has been playing in the Oberliga Süd for ECDC Memmingen.
