The Rosenbusch zu Notzing were originally a wealthy patrician family in Munich , who achieved an ennoblement in 1537 when they were linked to other families of the lower nobility .

origin

Jacob Rosenbusch is mentioned as a surgeon in Munich around 1448. His grandson Hans is a member of the city's inner council in 1520, his brother Jacob Rosenbusch zu Possenhofen , teacher of the law, entered the service of Duke Ludwig as a clerk in 1515 , made it up to landscape chancellor and received the letter of nobility in 1537. Wolfgang Franz Wilhelm von Rosenbusch received a baron diploma from Emperor Leopold I on January 29, 1690 in Augsburg .

Other members of the family are named without being able to be clearly assigned: Hans Christoph Rosenbusch was the carer of Wolfratshausen from 1548 to 1556 , Johann Martin von Rosenbusch was the carer of Werdenfels from 1656 to 1664 . A N. von Rosenbusch was the keeper of Freising in 1648 . The castle at Unterschneitbach was pledged to Martin Rosenbusch zu Notzing and sold to the Teutonic Order in 1720.

The rose bush at Viehhausen

In 1564 Anna Katharina, the daughter of Leonhard Sauerzapf († 1600) and Catharina von Puchheim († 1594), married Johann Jakob Rosenbusch von Notzing, at that time the carer of Heidau († 1597). After his death, the inheritance passed to his wife Catharina von Rosenbusch († 1605) and their sons Johann Martin and Hans Leonhard zu Notzing, Ober- and Niederviehhausen . Hans Leonhard († 1631) was an episcopal councilor in Regensburg and married to Maria Jacobe, née von Schellenberg and Khislekh ( Kißlegg ).

Their son Wolfgang Wilhelm (* 1608; † October 21, 1671) married Juliane Margaretha († March 11, 1690), née Böcklin , in 1650 . 1654 Wolf Wilhelm is named as the master of Ober- and Niederviehhausen, Eichhofen and Schierling. He was chamberlain to the Elector of Cologne and assessor of the Hirschberg district court. This couple had six children.

Their eldest son Franz Wilhelm (* 1653, † October 6, 1736) was raised to the status of hereditary imperial baron in 1689 . He was treasurer of the Elector of Bavaria and had the Viehhausen Castle rebuilt with the courtyard building, barn and stables and also lived in the castle itself. He was married to Franziska Johanna Adelheit, née Muggenthal zu Meyern, known as Flügelsberg. The couple had ten children.

Their only son who was not a member of the priesthood was Franz Peter (* 1700, † 1768, ultimus familiae), also a treasurer, secret council auditor-director and "laudable landscape ordinator and accountant of Munich". He also called himself von Eichhofen and Sinzing or Herr von Taufkirchen. He was married to Maria Juliane, nee Stingelheim.

Coat of arms of the rose bush

Viehhausen coat of arms (variant of the Rosenbusch coat of arms)

The talking family coat of arms shows a silver rose bush in red, consisting of three rose petals on their stems, on a silver mountain of three. On the helmet with the red and silver covers the silver rose bush.

One variant shows a silver rose bush with three roses on a silver three-hill in red, each accompanied by an inclined, facing golden hook. The coat of arms is composed of the coat of arms of the Lords of Saurzapf (Hammerherren and Zainhaken) and that of the Barons of Rosenbusch.
