City council and mayor
Rott is represented at the municipal level by the Duingen municipal council.
coat of arms
The municipality was awarded the municipal coat of arms on May 24, 1938 by the President of the Province of Hanover . The district administrator from Alfeld presented it on August 29 of the same year.
Blazon : "In blue on a silver cliff, a left-turning , opposing, gold - armed silver falcon ." | |
Justification of the coat of arms: The relatively young settlement of Rott offers no basis in its history for the design of a coat of arms. That is why the peregrine falcon, which is the last of its kind to nest on the Bavensteinen in the Leinebergland above the village, has been chosen as a symbol for the municipal coat of arms. |
