The Route of Industrial Culture Rhein-Main Aschaffenburg is part of the Route of Industrial Culture Rhein-Main Bayerischer Untermain and is therefore a section of the Route of Industrial Culture Rhine-Main in the Bavarian city of Aschaffenburg . The project tries to develop monuments of industrial history in the Rhine-Main area .

Am Floßhafen ( location )	Chain tug " Määkuh "	1902	Until a few years ago, the chain tug , which had been converted into a restaurant, was at the raft harbor. It was laid on Kiel by the Übigau shipyard (Dresden) in 1901, assembled in Aschaffenburg in 1902 and put into service. Until the cessation of the chain towing operation (1936) the "Määkuh" pulled up to twelve barges in tow on a chain lying in the river through the shallow and unregulated Main. Until the final decision by the city council on the location, the hull is on an industrial site.

Schwalbenrainweg 46 ( location )	Former paper mill (Tittel mill)	1797	Built by Melchior Kaufmann, it was the first paper manufacturing company in Aschaffenburg. 1904 as a measuring tool factory (Tittel & Co.). In 1998 an office building was gutted and refurbished. The imposing one remained.

Niedernberger Strasse 52 ( location )	Aschaffenburg new waterworks	1999	Designed according to the latest findings in drinking water production; fully automated processing processes visualized on screens. The treatment takes place in three stages, softening, nitrate removal and post-cleaning.
Niedernberger Strasse ( location )	Old Aschaffenburg waterworks	1906/07	Former pump works building of the late Art Nouveau in 1908, rebuilt in a simplified form after the destruction in the Second World War in 1946. The original equipment is no longer available. The historic building was integrated into the new waterworks with a pressure surge system.
Wailandtstrasse 11 ( location )	Presentation and training center from Suffel	1990/91	The center, built according to a design by the architect Jürgen Schlauersbach, is a semi-open training area with a free-floating roof over a circular floor plan. Next to it is the exhibition hall spanned by a Maro roof. Suffel-Fördertechnik is Germany's largest authorized dealer for the material handling sector of Linde AG.
Großostheimer Strasse ( location )	Nilkheimer railway bridge	1909/10	River bridge made of two lattice girders riveted to form segment arches on a central river pillar with double-flanked foreshore bridges made of natural stone on both banks. Schleusenweg ( location )	Obernau barrage	1926-1930	To continue the expansion of the Main to Bamberg for the Rhine-Main-Danube Canal , it was built as the first barrage in Bavaria and consists of a weir, lock, boat lock, fish pass and hydroelectric power station. Two Kaplan turbines have been generating electricity since 1930 and are now operated by E.ON Wasserkraft GmbH.

Schweinheimer Strasse 34 - Carl-Linde-Platz ( location )	Linde AG Linde Material Handling division	1956/57	Administration building designed by the Aschaffenburg architects Karl and Georg Jung in reinforced concrete construction with a flat roof. The " Güldner -motoren-Gesellschaft" founded in 1906 by the designer Hugo Güldner and the refrigeration technician Carl von Linde built gas and crude oil engines for tugs and ice machines. Taken over in 1929 by the " Gesellschaft für Lindes Eismaschinen AG " , forklifts and mobile hydraulic components are now manufactured in Plant II - Nilkheim (forklift plant), which is one of the most modern in the world .	more pictures
Heckmannweg - Güldnerweg ( location )	Heckmann settlement	1907	As residential houses, one-and-a-half-story semi-detached houses, built in 1907 for the employees of the C. Heckmann copper and brass works in brick construction with plastered upper floors under half-hip roofs and known as Heckmann-Siedlung until 1921. Surrounding allotments with small-scale farm buildings convey a high level of living quality to this day.
