Rudolf Klimek

Rudolf Marian Klimek (born December 12, 1932 in Cracow , Lesser Poland ) is a Polish doctor, university professor , non-fiction author and publicist.

Youth and education

After graduation Rudolf Klimek began the study of medicine at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, was 1952-1957 Assistant Professor Boleslaw Skarżyński and doctorate in September 1955 Award for Doctor of Medicine ( MD. ) . In April 1960 he specialized in obstetrics and gynecology and in June 1964 he became an aspirant . In June 1965, he became a specialist in endocrinology and in June 1972 habilitation he did the extraordinary , then in April 1980 as a full professor.

Profession and work

During his studies he was employed as an assistant then as a research assistant from 1952 to 1957 and since 1972 as a professor at the Jagiellonian University. In 1976 he was the doctoral supervisor of Andrew Victor Schally , who received the Nobel Prize in Stockholm in 1977 .

Rudolf Klimek is the author and co-author of over 500 scientific publications and over 50 relevant books on gynecology, obstetrics, internal medicine, oncology , neuro- and endocrinology , sexology and physiology .

From 1992–1995 he was President of the International Society for Pre- and Perinatal Psychology and Medicine ( ISPPM ) based in Vienna .
