Öfwerman rune

Axel Ivar "Rune" Öfwerman (born December 24, 1932 in Stockholm ; † December 13, 2013 ibid) was a Swedish jazz pianist , band leader and arranger who also worked as a film composer under the pseudonym Gregor Vein .

Live and act

Öfwerman founded the boogie Bop Six in 1948 together with Lasse Bagge and Georg Riedel . He then directed his quintet and his skolorkester . In the next few years Öfwerman appeared with Tony Mason (from 1952), with the orchestra of Carl-Henrik Norin (1954–1956), with Hacke Björksten and with the sextet of Gunnar Almstedt and Ove Lind . Then he founded his own trio, which Egil Johansen was a part of. He has also appeared with Tony Scott (1957), Ulf Wakenius , Lars Gullin , Chet Baker , Stan Getz and Eric Dolphy . He also accompanied Siw Malmkvist and Lill-Babs , and from 1969 to 1990 then Sylvia Vrethammar , his temporary wife, for whom he also worked as a manager. He also worked as a producer for Tommy Körberg , Janne Önnerud and Sivuca .

With his trio he recorded records for Sonet , Polygram and Gazell ; he also recorded various film scores .

His sons Clarence (* 1957) and Staffan Öfwerman (* 1962) also work as rock musicians for Roxette .
