Ryan Jardine (born March 15, 1980 in Carleton Place , Ontario ) is a former Canadian ice hockey player who was last under contract with the Cornwall River Kings in the Ligue Nord-Américaine de Hockey .
Career
Jardine began his career in the 1996/97 season with the Kanata Stallions in the Canadian Junior Hockey League . From the 1997/98 season, the striker played for three seasons with Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds in the Ontario Hockey League . In the 2000/01 season he made 77 games in the American Hockey League for Louisville Panthers , before he completed his only 8 games in the National Hockey League for the Florida Panthers the following season , which he had drafted in the 1998 NHL Draft . The rest of the current season spent the Canadian with the Utah Grizzlies in the AHL , then he moved to league rivals San Antonio Rampage and went there until the end of the 2004/05 season on the ice.
Shortly after the start of the 2005/06 season , he moved to Europe and was under contract with the Hamburg Freezers in the German Ice Hockey League for one year . The left-handed shooter then went to Sweden to join the SHL club Mora IK , before he played for 27 games at Olimpija Ljubljana in the Austrian ice hockey league in the 2007/08 season and joined HC Bozen in Serie A in Italy from December 2007 .
After two more seasons at Bolzano with a total of 83 scorer points in 98 games, Jardine moved back to the USA for the CHL team Missouri Mavericks . In the 2011/12 season he played two games for the Norwegian club Lørenskog IK before the attacker went back to his previous club in Missouri. After 145 games for the Mavericks as assistant captain, Jardine left the team in the summer of 2013 and played the following season with the Cornwall River Kings in the Ligue Nord-Américaine de Hockey .
