The 25th Saxony Tour took place from July 22nd to 26th, 2009. As in previous years, the start and destination was Dresden . The total length of all five stages was approx. 862 km. The Saxony Tour is part of the UCI Europe Tour 2009 (Category 2.1) and the German Championship (TUI Cup) .
The winner of the Sachsen Tour 2009 was Patrik Sinkewitz , who was able to develop a clear lead as a soloist on the “royal stage” in the Ore Mountains and then successfully defended it on the following stages.
