Saihou Jagne (born October 10, 1986 in Banjul ) is a Gambian football player . The striker has played his previous career in Sweden .

Life

Athletic career

Jagne came to Sweden as a refugee in the 1990s. There he started playing football. About Finspångs AIK he came to Väsby IK , where he, after he had mainly played in the youth team, played three games for the men's team of the club and remained without a goal. After the subsequent merger with FC Café Opera , the born Gambier remained loyal to the club, which, however, loaned him to third division club Valsta Syrianska IK in 2006 in order to gain more match practice in the men's field. After Väsby United was relegated from the Superettan , he ran for his home club in the third division. As a regular goalscorer, he recommended himself for higher tasks and was signed by AIK in early 2008 together with his teammate Walid Atta . While he was on the one hand in the squad of the first division and was mainly used as a substitute for this, he continued to run for the cooperation partner Väsby United. During the 2009 season he benefited from an injury to Miran Burgić and was one of the three strikers preferred by coach Mikael Stahre in the first half of the season alongside Martin Kayongo-Mutumba and Mauro Iván Óbolo . After the commitment of Antônio Flávio, however, he moved into the second tier, but with four goals in 17 games until the end of the season had made a decisive contribution to winning the double of the championship and cup victory.

Since the forward positions at AIK were sufficiently filled, the club decided to lend Jagne at the beginning of the 2010 season . The Gambiers' new club until June 30th of that year was the second division GIF Sundsvall . After his return to AIK, he could not get out of the role of the substitute, to keep the previous year's champions league, he only contributed in four short missions. After the end of the season he moved to the second division relegated IF Brommapojkarna after his contract expired , where he signed a two-year contract. In spring 2012 he went to the Åland Islands to IFK Mariehamn . After he made 25 appearances in Veikkausliiga at IFK Mariehamn in a year and a half , he returned to Sweden in January 2013. He signed in Division 1 Norra for AFC United . He came to five missions for AFC United by the summer of 2013 and decided on August 20, 2013 to move to the financially strong seventh division 5 Kista Galaxy FC . Kista Galaxy was founded by the former Swedish international Henok Goitom and his brother Habtemariam, as well as Yonnas Seyoum and the Bolivian Robel Alazar.

Private

His older brother Alieu is also a professional soccer player in Sweden. a. for GIF Sundsvall and Väsby United .
