Saint-Gabriel-Brécy is a village and a former French commune of 378 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Calvados in the region of Normandy . It belonged to the Arrondissement of Bayeux and the canton of Bretteville-l'Orgueilleuse .
With effect from January 1, 2017, the previous municipalities of Creully , Saint-Gabriel-Brécy and Villiers-le-Sec were merged into a Commune nouvelle called Creully sur Seulles and have the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality . The administrative headquarters are in Creully.
geography
Saint-Gabriel-Brécy is about ten kilometers east of Bayeux and about 20 kilometers northwest of Caen on the small river Seulles .
The place was surrounded by Le Manoir in the north and north-west, Villers-le-Sec in the north, Creully in the east and north-east, Lantheuil in the east and south-east, Cully in the south-east, Coulombs in the south, Rucqueville in the south and south-west, Esquay-sur- Seulles and Vienne-en-Bessin in the northwest.
