Sainte-Julien-d'Eymet is a village and a former French community with 117 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Dordogne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016: Aquitaine ). The municipality belonged to the Arrondissement Bergerac and the canton Sud-Bergeracois (until 2015: canton Eymet ).

The decree of September 25, 2018, with effect from January 1, 2019, incorporated Saint-Julien-d'Eymet as the Commune déléguée together with the former communes of Sainte-Innocence and Sainte-Eulalie-d'Eymet to form the Commune nouvelle Saint-Julien -Innocence-Eulalie feast . The administrative headquarters are in Sainte-Innocence.

The name in the Occitan language is Sent Júlian d'Aimet and is derived from St. Julianus.

The inhabitants are called Saint-Juliénois and Saint-Juliénoises .

Saint-Julien-d'Eymet is located about 15 kilometers south-southwest of Bergerac in the Bergeracois area of the historic province of Périgord on the southern edge of the department.

Population development

Right at the beginning of the records at the end of the 19th century, the population was at a high of around 355. In the period that followed, the size of the place fell to around 85 inhabitants during short recovery phases until the 1960s, before a phase of moderate growth began that continues today.
