Today Saint-Maurice-sur-Huisne is part of the large commune ( Commune nouvelle ) Cour-Maugis sur Huisne , but did not receive the status of a Commune déléguée in the course of the incorporation .

The place Saint-Maurice-sur-Huisne is located on the river Huisne in the Regional Nature Park Perche about 57 km (driving distance) east of Alençon and almost 18 km southeast of Mortagne-au-Perche at an altitude of about 130 m . The climate is influenced to a large extent by the sea and is therefore almost frost-free; Rain (approx. 680 mm / year) falls throughout the year.

- The Romanesque apse of St. The parish church (Église Saint-Maurice) consecrated to Mauritius dates back to the 12th / 13th centuries.
