The Salvator Church with the Franciscan Salvator Monastery built in 1551 in the Christian quarter of the old city of Jerusalem near the New Gate is the seat of the Custody of the Holy Land of the Franciscan Order .

Building

The monastery church was built by the architect Padre Raffaele Cingolani from Montecassiano until 1885, after Emperor Franz Josef I donated 60,000 francs for the construction in 1869 when he visited the monastery. The upper part of the striking bell tower received its final shape in 1931.

organ

The large organ was built in 2008 by the Austrian company Rieger Orgelbau . The abrasive loading -instrument with a mechanical main console and an electrical secondary game table 46 has  registration of three manuals and pedal .
