Montecassiano is an Italian municipality with 6968 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Macerata in the Marche . The municipality is located about 7 kilometers north-northwest of Macerata . The community is bordered to the south by the Potenza and to the north by the small river Monocchia . The former Strada Statale 361 Septempedana runs through the municipality .
