Sandro Zangger (born August 27, 1994 in Jona SG ) is a Swiss ice hockey player who has been under contract with HC Lugano since 2019 . His brothers Simon and Marc are also ice hockey players.

career

At the age of 15, Zangger moved from his hometown club SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers to the youth department of Zürcher SC. He won three championship titles with the ZSC elite juniors during his time in Zurich. In the 2011/12 season he made his debut in the junior handling team GCK Lions in the National League B , in the following season he posted the first missions for the ZSC Lions in the National League A , and later ice age came in the Champions Hockey League added .

In November 2014, Zangger was signed by EV Zug , where he significantly increased his offensive performance over the next three years. In January 2017 he announced his move within the NLA to Lausanne HC for the 2017/18 season, again two years later he moved from Lausanne HC to HC Lugano .

National team

Zangger played for the Swiss junior national teams in the age groups U16, U17, U18 and U20. He was appointed to the senior national team for the first time in February 2017.
