Julian Walker (born September 10, 1986 in Bern ) is a Swiss ice hockey player who has been under contract with HC Lugano in the National League A since September 2013 .
Career
Julian Walker began his career in the junior division of SC Bern . He made his NLA debut on September 17, 2004 against the Kloten Flyers . He completed some games for SC Langenthal in the National League B . In 2005 Walker received his first professional contract with EHC Basel . On November 29, 2005, he scored his first NLA goal in the game against HC Lugano . After the club was relegated in 2008 , he moved to HC Ambrì-Piotta . In Ambrì, Walker was one of the top performers and in the 2012/13 season he moved to Genève-Servette HC . Shortly before the start of the 2013/14 season , Walker moved to HC Lugano in Ticino.
International
Walker took part for Switzerland in the 2004 U18 World Junior Championship in Division I , where he and his team were promoted to the top division. In 2005 and 2006 he took part in the U20 World Junior Championships.
At the 2013 World Cup , Walker was part of the senior squad for the first time and won the silver medal.
