Sandy Jeannin (born February 28, 1976 in Les Bayards ) is a former Swiss ice hockey player who was active for Friborg-Gottéron , HC Lugano and HC Davos in the National League A as the left winger for many years .

Career

From 1993 to 1995 Jeannin played for HC La Chaux-de-Fonds in the National League B , with which he became NLB champion in 1995. He then played for two years for Zürcher SC and three for HC Davos before the attacker moved to HC Lugano in summer 2000 , with whom he was Swiss champion in 2003 and 2006 and third in 2003 and 2004 Place in the IIHF Continental Cup . Before the 2007/08 season, Jeannin was signed by Friborg-Gottéron . In September 2011 it was announced that Jeannin had extended his contract, which expired in May 2012, for another three years.

In March 2015, he finally ended his career after long struggling with the effects of a headache and having played his last ice hockey game in January 2014.

He has been a youth coach at HC La Chaux-de-Fonds since 2015.

International

For Switzerland , Jeannin took part in the U20 Junior B World Championship 1995, the U20 Junior World Championship 1996, the B World Championship 1996, as well as the A World Championships 1996, 1998, 1999 and 2001 to 2009. He was also on the Swiss squad at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City and 2006 in Turin . He made a total of 236 international matches for Switzerland, in which he scored 34 goals and 48 assists.
