The season 1995/96 was the 58th regular season of the National League A . In the playoff final , the EHC Kloten were Swiss champions against SC Bern .

mode

The ten teams initially played two double rounds of 18 games each, in which the eight participants for the playoffs were determined. Quarter-finals, semi-finals and the final were each played according to the Best of Five mode . The playouts were played in the best of seven mode , the loser of which had to play against the two best placed NLB for promotion or relegation.
