Sansa Airlines (Servicios Aereos Nacionales SA) is an airline in Costa Rica with headquarters in San Jose and based on the Juan Santamaría International Airport . It was a subsidiary of Avianca Costa Rica (formerly Lacsa ), which is now back in Costa Rican hands.

history

Sansa Airlines was founded in 1980 and started flight operations in the same year. It was owned by Avianca Costa Rica , the then Lacsa from Costa Rica. On November 26, 2008, the airline was renamed Sansa Regional Airline.

Due to the restructuring measures of Avianca Holdings , TACA Regional dissolved and Sansa now operates independently. An independent logo and a new color scheme were introduced.

Sansa Regional flies from San José within Costa Rica to Puerto Jiménez , Golfito , Palmar Sur, Bahía Drake, Manuel Antonio , Tambor, Tamarindo , Liberia , Arenal , Puerto Limón and Tortuguero .
