Santiago "Santi" Mina Lorenzo (born December 7, 1995 in Vigo ) is a Spanish football player . He plays in the position of the striker .

Career

Mina started his football career in his hometown with the youth department of Celta Vigo and rose to the 2012/13 season in the second team of Celta Vigo, which played in the Tercera División . With seven goals in 13 games he was involved in the promotion to the Segunda División B involved.

In the same season Mina signed a contract on January 5, 2013 until 2018 and made her debut on February 16, 2013 in the 1st team and in La Liga in the 1: 3 defeat against Getafe FC . In the next season on September 16, 2013 he celebrated his first-team goal when he scored 3-2 in the game against Athletic Bilbao. With that goal, he became the youngest La Liga first-team goalscorer at the age of 17 years, 9 months and 10 days. Mina scored four goals in the 6-1 win over Rayo Vallecano on April 11, 2015. That made him the youngest player to do so in a La Liga game at the age of 19, and he became the first Celta Vigo player since 1979 to score four goals in one game.

In the summer of 2015 it undertook the FC Valencia . With the Blanquinegros , he qualified for the UEFA Champions League in 2015/16 and 2018/19 . He was also the Spanish cup winner in the Copa del Rey 2018/19 with Valencia .

National team

For the Spanish junior national teams, Mina completed a total of 15 games and scored one goal. He made his debut in the U-18 national team on January 29, 2013, played three games and scored one goal. Under coach Julen Lopetegui , Mina made her debut on March 20, 2013 for the U-19 national team against Germany .
