Sentencekorn village church

The single-aisled , Protestant village church Satzkorn was first built from field stone in the 13th century and rebuilt in 1669, where it was probably enlarged. In 1873 and 1908 it was rebuilt again. The building is rectangular with an apse (semicircular end) in the east and a small, rectangular porch in the west, in which there are four grave slabs from the 17th century. The wood-clad, slate- roofed tower of the church houses three bells. Inside, the village church hides a carved altarpiece from 1670 and a wooden pulpit from 1671. The organ was built by the organ builder Gesell in 1872/73 , a wooden baptismal font and a dining rack come from the same period . Today the church belongs to the Evangelical Parish of Fahrland.

In 1902 a railway line was opened one kilometer west of the town to bypass Berlin , and Satzkorn also got a train station. The route is now part of the Berlin outer ring . The Satzkorn train station was closed to passenger traffic in 1993.

The manor house in Satzkorn was built in its current form in 1739 on an older building. The former manor was used for fruit growing after 1945 and has been empty since 1991. The building has been a listed building since 2002 .

The new Satzkorner sports field has been in operation since September 4th, 2010.
