The Enterprise Center is a multi-purpose hall in the US city of St. Louis , Missouri . Various events take place in the arena, such as B. ice hockey games , wrestling and boxing matches , concerts as well as ice and family shows take place. Every year, an average of two million guests visit the arena for 175 events. The Enterprise Center was also chosen behind the Bell Center in Montreal as the hall with the second best ice quality in the National Hockey League (NHL). The arena is located in the center of St. Louis and is now the home of the St. Louis Blues from the NHL.
history
The arena was opened in 1994 under the name Kiel Center and replaced the Kiel Auditorium , which was demolished in December 1992. After the opening, the Blues moved from their old venue, the St. Louis Arena, to the new Kiel Center. The naming rights were transferred in September 2006 from Savvis Inc. , an American communications company, to Scottrade Inc , a broker's office from St. Louis. On May 21, 2018, the St. Louis Blues and the new name sponsor , the car rental company Enterprise Rent-A-Car , announced that the hall will be named Enterprise Center from July 1 of that year . The contract has a term of 15 years.
Events
Events of the National Collegiate Athletic Association , the American college sports organization, are often held in the hall . The arena hosted the 2007 NCAA Frozen Four ice hockey competitions, the 2008 and 2009 NCAA Wrestling Championships and the 2009 NCAA Women's Final Four basketball competitions.
