Schönderling is a district of the Lower Franconian market Schondra in the Bavarian district of Bad Kissingen .
Geographical location
Schönderling is located southwest of Schondra.
West of Schönderling, the B 27 leads northwards via Buchrasen , Unterleichtersbach and Oberleichtersbach to Bad Brückenau and southwards via Neuwirtshaus (district of Wartmannsroth ) and Untererthal (district of Hammelburg ) to Hammelburg. The A 7 and the B 286 run east of Schönderling in a north-south direction ; both form junction 95 Bad Brückenau / Wildflecken north of Schönderling.
The KG 33 runs through Schönderling and joins the B 27 in a westward direction and leads to Schondra in a northeastern direction. In addition, the Franconian Marienweg runs through the village.
history
The first known mention of Schönderling was as "zu Schuenterlingen" in 1317 in the property list of the noble family of the Henneberger . The place name means "Little Schondra" because it was settled from Schondra.
While Schönderling was a branch of the Schondra parish from the start, it was politically independent. The hamlets of Münchau , Obergeiersnest , Untergeiersnest and Schmittrain also belonged to Schönderling . In the 16th century the place experienced strong growth in the possession of the Thulba monastery .
In 1816 Schönderling went to the Kingdom of Bavaria .
In 1895 the local school building was built; On October 23, 1932, the dedication of St. Joseph's Church took place. In 1962 the connection road to Schondra was built.
On May 1, 1978 Schönderling became a district of Schondra as part of the municipal reform.
