Schandachen is a place and a cadastral municipality of the municipality of Litschau in the Gmünd district in Lower Austria .

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there was a total of 54 building areas with 24,325 m² and 27 gardens on 10,596 m² in the cadastral community of Schandachen, in 1989/1990 there were 73 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 153 and in 2009/2010 there were 69 buildings on 140 building areas.

Agriculture

The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. 225 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 211 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 208 hectares and 224 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 201 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 225 hectares. The average soil climate number of Schandachen is 18.6 (as of 2010).
