Schlag is a place and a cadastral municipality of the municipality of Litschau in the district of Gmünd in Lower Austria .

history

Schlag was part of the Litschau rule for many centuries.

Settlement development

1590/91 had 14 subservient houses; In 1751 there were 21 subordinate houses.

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 60 building areas with 27,970 m² and 32 gardens on 22,948 m² in the cadastral municipality of Schlag, in 1989/1990 there were 61 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 186 and in 2009/2010 there were 103 buildings on 180 building areas.

Agriculture

The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. 220 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of 1979/1980 and 860 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 194 hectares and 884 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 177 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 886 hectares. The average soil climate number of Schlag is 15.3 (as of 2010).
