The Schleicher ASG 32 is a two-seater glider from the German manufacturer Alexander Schleicher for the FAI two-seater class .
history
The ASG 32 project was presented to the public in April 2013 at the AERO 2013 trade fair in Friedrichshafen . Only the fuselage of the prototype with the registration D-KBAS was exhibited .
The glider's maiden flight took place on May 31, 2014 by its designer Michael Greiner and Peter Kremer. The type certification according to EASA CS-22 took place on February 11, 2016.
construction
The ASG 32 has a four-part wing with a span of 20 meters. It has flaps and double-decker top brake flaps. The hull was taken over from the ASH 30 . The minimum load is 70 kg. The main wheel is retractable, the steerable star wheel can be ordered to be foldable.
All ASG 32 versions are prepared for subsequent engine installation with a motor box. In addition to the glider variant, it is available as a self-starting ASG 32 Mi and with an electric turbo as an ASG 32 El .
use
The prototype took 3rd place at the 2014 World Gliding Championship. In a subsequent competition to qualify for the 2015 German Championship, Hermann Leucker took 2nd place. In May 2015, the 23rd International Gliding Cup at Klix Airfield saw the first victory with the ASG 32 by the Paul Anklam / Karsten Leucker team. In June 2015, Serena Triebel and her father Claus Triebel won the German championship as a fellow pilot in the 20-meter two-seater class on an ASG 32.
