Neunstetten Castle

The Castle Neunstetten located in Neunstetten , a district of Krautheim in Hohenlohe ( Baden-Wuerttemberg ). The half-timbered house is a protected architectural monument .

history

The building was built in 1568 by the son of the famous Götz von Berlichingen , Hans Jakob, who is the last of the von Berlichingen family to be buried in the cloister of the Schöntal monastery . The year 1568 on the left front side of the castle indicates the year of completion three times.

The castle and estate remained in the possession of the von Berlichingen family until 1926, when it was sold to the Neunstetten community . After it was bought by a private individual in 1979, the castle was extensively renovated. In 1994 the restoration was awarded the Baden-Württemberg State Monument Prize.
