Determination of the master

Since the top division as well as the system for determining the Swiss champion changed over the decades, that was the case

  • 1897/98 the winner of the final of the Ruinart Cup,
  • 1898 / 99–1929 / 30 the first place winner or the winner of the final round of Serie A,
  • 1930/31 the first place in the final round of the 1st division,
  • 1931 / 32–1932 / 33 the first place in the final round of the Swiss championship, consisting of three participants from the national league and the winner of the first division (the first division Lausanne-Sports became Swiss champions in 1931/32),
  • 1933 / 34–1943 / 44 the first place in the National League,
  • 1944 / 45–1975 / 76 the first place in the National League A,
  • 1976 / 77–2002 / 03 the first place in the final round of the National League A,
  • First place in the Super League since 2003, with the exception of any Liechtenstein clubs (previously not regulated),

Swiss champion becomes.

Remarks

  1. ↑ The Swiss Football Association considers the championship for the Ruinart Cup to be unofficial, but it does list the champions Grasshopper Club Zurich in its annals.
  2. Reduced gaming operations due to the First World War .
  3. The title was withdrawn from FC Bern due to the use of an unqualified player.
  4. Due to a special mode in the seasons 1931/32 and 1932/33 (see #Determining the master ), Lausanne was able to become Swiss champions as the first division (second highest division after the national league).

Swiss Workers' Football Association (SAFV)

The association was formed in 1929/30 after the exclusion of communist-dominated associations from the SATUS . The championship was held in two regional groups (Basel and Zurich) with a final tournament. The French-speaking Swiss clubs, which were also excluded from the SATUS, held their own championship in the “Fédération Romande des Sports Ouvriers” (FRSO). During the 1935/36 season he was reintegrated into the SATUS. The separate championships were played to the end. Subsequently, SATUS master Sparta Basel defeated SAFV master St. Johann Basel 5: 1 in a "standard game".
