Sead Šehović ( Serbian - Cyrillic Сеад Шеховић ; born August 22, 1989 in Bijelo Polje , SR Montenegro ) is a Montenegrin basketball player . At a young age, Šehović won the national double four times with the dominant Montenegrin club KK Budućnost from the capital Podgorica . The national player then moved to the German basketball league in 2011 for the EWE Baskets from Oldenburg . After he did not progress there in his development, he played for a year with the Hungarian double winner Szolnoki Olaj KK, who could not defend their title. In October 2013, his former Oldenburg coach Predrag Krunić brought him back to medi Bayreuth in the Bundesliga. His brother, Suad Šehović , who was two years older than him, is also a national basketball player in Montenegro.
Career
Šehović started his professional career at the age of 17 with the Bosnian master KK Bosna from Sarajevo , for whom his brother already played. The team could not defend their title and Sead Šehović moved back to his Montenegrin homeland to double winner KK Budućnost Podgorica, who was able to defend his title in the following four years. In 2011, Bosnian-born coach Predrag Krunić brought him to the basketball league for EWE Baskets Oldenburg. However, the team fell short of expectations in the basketball Bundesliga 2011/12 and could not qualify for the play-offs for the championship. In addition to coach Krunić, Šehović, who fell short of expectations with an average of just under twelve minutes, then had to leave the club. Šehović played in the 2012/13 season in Szolnok, Hungary for the double winner Olaj KK. However, Olaj KK missed the third double in a row that season. In the summer of 2013 he took part with the men's national team, in which he had made his debut in 2009, at the 2013 European Championship finals in Slovenia , where the Montenegrin team was eliminated again in the first group stage after two wins in five preliminary round matches. In October 2013, Šehović was then brought back to the German Bundesliga as a temporary replacement for the injured Bryan Bailey by coach Krunić, who now coached the first division club from Bayreuth . Despite some good performances, he and his teammates could not prevent them from slipping to the relegation places, which is why his contract was not renewed at the end of the year. Šehović then moved to KK MZT in the Macedonian Skopje , where he also plays in the supranational ABA league again .
