Career
Sean Curry began his career as a hockey player in the Canadian Junior Western Hockey League , in which he was active from 2000 to 2002 for the Tri-City Americans and Medicine Hat Tigers . During this period he was also selected in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft in the seventh round as a total of 211th player by the Carolina Hurricanes , for which he never played. Instead, the defender ran from 2002 to 2005 for the Lowell Lock Monsters in the American Hockey League . In the 2002/03 season he also came to 33 missions for their cooperation partner Florida Everblades in the ECHL . From 2005 to 2008 he played for the Providence Bruins AHL team .
He then received a contract in the organization of the Philadelphia Flyers , for whose AHL farm team Philadelphia Phantoms he initially ran up in the 2008/09 season. After this was relocated, the left shooter also played for his successor team, the Adirondack Phantoms, in the following season . The 2010/11 season began Curry with the Toledo Walleye in the ECHL. After just two games, he joined the Hamburg Freezers from the German Ice Hockey League in November 2010 . In the following years he had a regular place and prepared six goals in 34 games. After missing the playoffs with the Freezers, he was not given a new contract.
Then Curry spent the 2011/12 season at the Swedish second division club Rögle BK before he went back to the USA for the 2012/13 season and was on the ice for the Alaska Aces in the ECHL for two seasons . In the summer of 2014, the defender ended his active professional career.
