Sebastian Jones (born August 22, 1982 in Iserlohn , North Rhine-Westphalia ) is a German ice hockey player who last played for the Iserlohn Roosters in the German Ice Hockey League .

Career

Sebastian Jones began playing ice hockey at the Iserlohner EC and went through all the youngsters there before moving to the Kassel Huskies in the German Ice Hockey League in 2000 . Due to an injury, the trained defender was only able to play 22 games for his new club in the 2000/01 season and spent the next three years commuting between the DEL team and the cooperation partners REV Bremerhaven and Eisbären Regensburg . The left-handed shooter spent the 2004/05 season exclusively with the Huskies; after the North Hesse, however, at the end of the season as a relegated athlete, Jones returned to his hometown club, which had since been promoted to the DEL as Iserlohn Roosters .

In the 2005/06 season Jones was seventh defender in the team and completed some games with a license at ETC Crimmitschau because of this . During the 2007/08 season Jones was eventually used as a winger for some time due to injuries in the team , but he himself had to pause for more than 10 games after injuries and injured himself again shortly before the play-offs . Jones' contract was then extended by a year, but he was no longer planned for the 2008/09 season as a defender, but as a striker in the team. He scored his first striker goal against ERC Ingolstadt when he played alongside Michael Wolf and Robert Hock in the first attack formation. On June 19, 2009, Jones renewed his contract for another year. Before the start of the 2009/10 season , he was injured and missed the first twelve games. During this time he was replaced by Jan Taube . Jones returned to the team in mid-October 2009. On February 2, 2010, he seriously injured his knee and was out until the end of the season. Whether and when Jones can return to the ice is open.

Alan Jones, Sebastian's father, is the carer for the Iserlohn Roosters.
