Sebastian Schiek (born March 20, 1990 in Bruchsal ) is a German soccer player . He has been under contract with regional league club VfR Aalen since winter 2019/20 .

Career

Before Schiek came to Karlsruher SC in 2003 , he played for FC Germania Karlsdorf and SV Waldhof Mannheim . In 2009 he was accepted into the reserve team and in 2011 into the professional squad of the Karlsruhe club. On August 21, 2011 (5th match day) he made his debut in the 2nd Bundesliga in the 2-0 defeat of KSC against Energie Cottbus . After his contract expired in summer 2014, he joined the third division club SG Sonnenhof Großaspach at the end of August , where he was signed by Robin Binder after a cruciate ligament rupture .

After four years at SG Sonnenhof Großaspach, Schiek switched to league competitor SC Fortuna Köln in summer 2018 , where he was used as a left full -back. After Fortuna was relegated, Schiek was without a club.

Shortly before the end of the winter break of the 2019/20 season , Schiek was signed by the regional league club VfR Aalen , who hoped to solve his "injury problem in the full-back positions " with him. After only three appearances in the second half of the season, he returned to SG Sonnenhof Großaspach during the 2020 summer break, which had previously been relegated from the third division.
