Secretaría de Energía
Secretaría de Energía (SENER) is the "Secretariat (Ministry) of Energy" in Mexico as the government body for the country's energy policy .
The original “Secretariat for National Goods and Administrative Inspection” ( Secretaría de Bienes Nacionales e Inspección Administrativa ) was founded on December 7, 1946. In 1958 it was renamed the " Secretaría del Patrimonio Nacional " ( Secretaría del Patrimonio Nacional - SEPANAL), in 1976 it became the " Secretaría de Patrimonio y Fomento Industrial " ( Secretaría de Patrimonio y Fomento Industrial - SEPAFIN) and in 1982 " Secretariat for Energy, Mines and State Industry ”( Secretaría de Energía, Minas e Industria Paraestatal - SEMIP). The secretariat has had its current name since 1994.
In addition to the three sub-secretariats ( Subsecretarías ) for "Hydrocarbons" ( Hidrocarburos ), "Electricity" ( Electricidad ) and "Energy planning and technical development" ( Planificación Energética y Desarrollo Tecnológico ), the SENER is also divided into the "Directorate for Programming and Budget" ( Dirección de Programación y Presupuesto ), the Department of “Information Technology and Telecommunications” ( Unidad de Informática y Telecomunicaciones ), the “General Directorate for Human Resources , Innovation and Service” ( Dirección General de Recursos Humanos, Innovación y Servicios ), the “Social Communication "( Comunicación Social ), the Directorate for" Services and Material Resources "( Dirección de Servicios y Recursos Materiales ) and the Legal Department ( Asuntos Jurídicos )
