Seebergen ( Low German Seebargen ) is a district of the Lilienthal community in the Osterholz district in Lower Saxony .
Geography and transport links
The district is located southeast of the core area of Lilienthal directly on the western border with Bremen . The Wümme flows southwest. To the south is the Fischerhuder Wümmeniederung nature reserve and to the south-west, on the Bremen area, the Borgfelder Wümmewiesen nature reserve .
State road L 154 runs through the southern part of the village .
history
Seebergen was built from 1700 to 1766 as part of the moor colonization . In 1789, it is reported that 164 people lived in 26 houses, including 100 children.
Personalities
- The painter Feodor Szerbakow (* 1911; † 2009 in Seebergen) lived in Seebergen after the Second World War .
