The Silva Waldhausen Seefestspiele on the lake stage in Nepomuk-Teich in the market town of Waldhausen im Strudengau in the Perg district in Upper Austria are Austria's smallest self-proclaimed and Upper Austria's only lake festival.

Venue

The Nepomukteich pond, laid out in 1992 below the former collegiate church in Waldhausen , has an area of ​​7500 square meters and was named because there is a statue of the saint on the Klostersteig trail that runs past. Historical records indicate that the monastery used to have a fish pond on the area in question . The floating stage was built in 1995 as a laminated truss construction with a stage area of ​​180 square meters.

In addition to Silva, the Nepomukteich is also one of the venues for the Grenzfluss-Worldjazz Festival, whose director has been Peter Madsen since 2010 .

Maritime festival

The summer festival Silva has been held since 2005 at the Nepomuk - pond of the former pin Waldhausen and will be the club border river of mime-stage organized jointly with the municipality of Waldhausen, Strudengau and Waldhausen. The stage also offers space for a maximum of 130 visitors, creating a special closeness between artists and audience. Since 2008 there has been a cooperation with other cultural organizers in the Upper and Lower Austrian border region under the name fussfrei . The events are mainly assigned to the genre cabaret:
