Heidelinde Leutgöb (born March 9, 1972 in Wels ) is an Austrian director .

Professional career

After passing the Matura at the Bundesrealgymnasium Traun , Heidelinde Leutgöb studied theater studies at the University of Vienna , was an assistant director for various independent groups in Vienna and later at the Landestheater Linz from 1992 to 1995 and worked as a freelance director a. a. at the Landestheater Linz, at the Landestheater Salzburg , at the Staatstheater Saarbrücken , at the Mainfranken Theater Würzburg , at the Landesbühne Hannover , at the Theater Phönix in Linz , at the Künstlerhaus Wien , at the Odeon Theater in Vienna, at the Innsbrucker Kellertheater , at the Theater an der Rott in Eggenfelden and at the Children's Theater in Linz. From 2001 to 2007 she was director of u \ hof: the theater for young audiences at the Landestheater Linz. For her diverse and innovative work there she was nominated for the Austrian Nestroy Theater Prize and was awarded the special prize.

In 2007 she moved to the Schauspielhaus Hannover , where she took over the management of the young schauspielhannover for three years . Their contract was not extended by mutual agreement with the new artistic director Lars-Ole Walburg beyond the 2009/2010 season due to different thinking about content and aesthetics.

The end of May 2010 saw the premiere of the musical Anatevka, staged by Leutgöb, at the Dresden State Theater .

Productions

In 2007, under her direction, the young schauspielhannover began its first season with the staging of the drama The Conscientious Murderer Hasse Karlsson by Henning Mankell and A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess . This was followed in 2008/2009 by the third part of the ink world trilogy entitled Tintentod by Cornelia Funke and Die Geierwally based on the novel by Wilhelmine von Hillern .

Among the staged her plays include: The Swing by Edna Mazya , the Austrian premiere of Stones by Tom Lycos and Stepho Nantsou , What's wrong with Daniela Dunoz of Susanne van Lohuizen , shopping and fucking by Mark Ravenhill , fire face of Marius von Mayenburg , Wit by Margaret Edson and Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare . For the Linz Summer Theater Days she staged world premieres of plays by Austrian authors and was awarded the stage art prize of the State of Upper Austria for this.

Cabaret group

Leutgöb created the overall concept and directs the productions of the Linz cabaret group Die NIeDERTRäCHTIGEN , which can refer to around 500 performances in German-speaking countries.

Functions

During her work at the Landestheater Linz, she was temporarily a member of the Linz City Culture Advisory Board and, from 2004, deputy chairman of the Advisory Board. From 2005 she was also a member of the Upper Austrian Provincial Cultural Advisory Board.
