The DAV section Berchtesgaden e. V. ( DAV Berchtesgaden for short ) is a section of the German Alpine Club in Berchtesgaden . It was founded on May 17, 1875. The DAV Berchtesgaden is therefore one of the oldest and with 11,303 members (as of December 31, 2019) also the nineteenth largest section of the German Alpine Club and thus also one of the largest sports clubs in Germany .

The section is the organizer of the Jennerstier ski touring race , which is part of the Alpine Cup series.
